FILM
THE FINAL STAND (Solo piano version)
Composed and performed by Charles Baker
I first thought of the main theme of this piece while on holiday, and found that all the sections fell into place without too much effort.
This was originally meant to be a finale for a three movement piece, but I realised it would work better on its own. This is the solo piano version but I am going to orchestrate it for full symphony orchestra as well, where I am sure it will sound even better.
Improvisations
FILM PIANO IMPROVISATION - FAST
Composed and performed by Charles Baker
This is a completely improvised medley of possible film themes/incidental music that I have woven together as though it were a cohesive whole piece. All the material here I completely made up on the spot.
At the moment this improvisation is of course piano-based, but once scored for full orchestra, the music will really come alive!
FILM PIANO IMPROVISATION - SLOW
Composed and performed by Charles Baker
An improvisation similar to the one above, but slower and more dramatic.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN-ESQUE IMPROVISATION
Composed and performed by Charles Baker
KEYBOARD SYNTH IMPROVISATION A

(I recorded these improvisations on my Yamaha PSR-3000 keyboard, experimenting with some of its sounds.)

KEYBOARD SYNTH IMPROVISATION C

KEYBOARD SYNTH IMPROVISATION D

Possible Film Cues
I have not scored a cue for an actual film yet, but here are some musical examples of mine which I think could work as film cues.
